stuck to my guns and didn't pay for it. i downloaded stg's v2 telesync torrent. not bad quality. looks like bay and crew corrected a lot of the mistakes with the first movie and got it right this time. well, more right but not completely perfect. voice acting was absolutely terrible and cliched, plot was predictable, and there was a little too much comedy in some places, but overall i'd give it 7 out of 10 stars. it was entertaining and engaging where it needed to be.
there's talk of racism with the twin robots' characterizations. like i said, some things are a bit too cliched and forced. like shoving it down our throats forced and these characters ain't much different. lot's of useless banter and groaning on the robots' parts, some parts ain't explained, other parts abandoned altogether, it has its faults. but all things considered, it ain't got as many faults as the first part. the robots get more screen time this time around and that's a plus. but it's a michael bay film and explosions and fighting are what's gonna make up the majority of the flick. the way these stories are told, it's like they ain't leaving much for a third part. they're gonna have to dig deep to come up with something relevant.
when you do apocalyptic stories like this, that's the problem that's gonna occur. what's next? you know there's gonna be a third part but what can they do to top the first 2 flicks storywise? either way, i don't regret not paying for it. if they woulda made a good first part it wouldn't be a prob. but i can safely tell others that you won't be totally disappointed. you'll get your money's worth. if you've been following the development of this second movie, nothing in it will surprise you. and remember, the ending is, like the first part, VERY predictable.
