I’m planning on buying a house soon. Not renting, but buying. It’s a buyer’s market and the time has finally come. One thing I’m gonna have to do is get my income up and I’m gonna do that via work at home opportunities. I’ve been doing my research and the only things stopping me (still) are my internet (I have wireless) and phone (I have isdn). I check foreclosure listings almost daily and there’s only a handful of properties I’m interested in, but things pop up all the time. Thus far, nothing I’m interested in has been sold. That’s good for me. I’ll be taking a 1st time homebuyer class in a week and a half to qualify for down payment assistance and to see what I can get as far as tax credits, special mortgage deals, and gifts. I’m not gonna rush and get the wrong pad. When I move, it’s gonna be permanent and I wanna be able to pay it off before I’m 40. Then, if I have a family by then, I can get some land and build my dream home. One step at a time though.

What neighborhood do I wanna live in? Gotta be in the tourist area since the stuff I like to do is around there. Like I-Drive and LBV. HOA fees gotta be reasonable. Place has gotta be newer or renovated. Definitely has to have some equity already built in and most of the ones I’ve checked out definitely do. oHOAHOKJDFLKSDJFA;Lskjfl;asjhjlkfjklafsdjkl;fasdjl;kfdso have I want something that’s gonna appreciate over time and that I don’t have to put work into right off the bat. Gotta have access to the major highways. That’s absolutely important to me. Needs to be close to malls, shopping, grocery stores, and shit like that. I want the quaintness of the burbs with the convenience of the city and the tourist area has all of that. Florida Turnpike, Beachline Expressway, and I-4 access is essential. That way, when I wanna go, I just fucking go without all the damn stop lights and traffic. No flood prone or noisy, dirty areas either. I haven’t looked at any homes as of yet cuz I wanna take that class first so I know what I’m getting into. But if things go my way, I should be a homeowner soon.

If I can manage to get 20% more dl’s this month than I did last month, DepositFiles will up my tariff to a penny per dl. So I’ve been posting stuff in forums that I never made previously available except for here. I’m really close and only have a few more days to make it happen. I’m pretty confident I will.

The copyright office says on their site that it takes upwards of 10 months for copyrights to be registered. Bullshit. Maybe that applies if you do it via snail mail. Or that might just be how long it takes to get a certificate. But my first story, Dodo, only took about a month and a half to be fully registered. They don’t tell you shit either. You just gotta keep checking the site to see if your case goes from open to closed. And even then they don’t give you any info. What you gotta do is search for your shit in their catalog to find your registration number. I was gonna do a big post about the whole process but I just don’t have that kind of time right now. Got too much going on.

Yes, Dodo, the first free ebook from the Following the Syllabus imprint is available for reading on my site here. I have yet to make a portable format available cuz I’m still doing research on that. I have a .pdf all ready to go but it wouldn’t load on my phone. Probably cuz the reader software is dated and I used Adobe Acrobat 9 to create the .pdf and, from what I’ve read, that version doesn’t offer a lot of backward compatibility. In the coming weeks, I’ll make the .pdf available and start promoting it around the web. Then I’ll do the other 3 stories I have once they’re registered. Then I can write the full articles for each story and articles related to the class I wrote them in (crw4122). It’s a long process but I’m a patient guy. And I make things happen so…you know it’ll get done if I’m doing it and serious about it.

I’ve been wanting to do weekly streaming vids of lucha libre and have found some sources. But I’m gonna give it some time before I post anything cuz I wanna make sure the sources come through on a consistent, regular basis and offer the same in quality. If everything checks out, you can expect it to be a part of the regular media updates on Friday. I watched IWRG for the first time and was impressed. Saw some familiar faces and lots of guys I’ve only read about but never saw. The style reminds me of AAA. Also looked at a Fox Sports EspañolCMLL show for the first time. Hadn’t seen CMLL in years; ever since Galavision took it off the sched. Too much filler, like AAA’s commercial breaks, but I still enjoyed it. But there’s plenty more I have to peep. Maybe I’ll move into japanese wrestling afterwards, if I can find some sources. We’ll see.

The streaming Spider-man eps will be ending soon and I’ll be replacing it with the japanese Transformers: Headmasters series. Original jap audio with english subs; the way it’s meant to be seen. Far as I know, there’s no place online that offers full and complete eps for streaming. I’ll fill that void. The animation is exactly the same but the writing is completely different. Different music, voices, and sound effects too. Visually, the same. Everything else, different. So if you’re a TransFan like I am, you wanna check back when that time comes. And I’ll be making them available for download too. There’s plenty of torrents out there but the one I got was in .mkv format. Great format to watch on your computer but can’t be converted to flash with the subs. And no pmp that I know of plays that format either.

So I dug around online for a program that would convert and hardsub the resulting file. AllToAVI got the job done. Took some testing and tweaking but I can convert fairly quickly to a very high quality, low file size .avi with hard subs. That way, I can convert it to flash and it’s portable with the subs intact for those who watch vids on the go.

So that’s things on my end. Prepping to buy my house and promoting Dodo are the priority right now. When I get some down time, I’ll continue to update the site. Mainly putting ads in the vids and mp3 streams. Then updating individual articles and moving the content from the old Exclusive Video section to the new categorized one. I’ve updated some of the categories as some of you who click around can see. As a result, there’s lots of dead links so I have to go back and update all that too. Point things to the right place and shit. And I’ve noticed that some of you regulars visit only the homepage and if you don’t see anything new, that’s it. You leave. This used to be the primary category and got the lion’s share of updates. Now, I have several other categories that get updated regularly. The main page doesn’t get all the attention anymore.

Haven’t voted yet. Called the elections office and told them to mail me an absentee ballot. I ain’t waitin’ in those long ass lines. I’ve added the related category with streaming vids for those that want a little more info on the candidates and/or need a nudge to make a decision on who to vote for. If you’re a regular reader here, it doesn’t take a genius to know who I’m voting for.
